"Valerie
has an eye that understands different body proportions and why
clothes fit the way they do. A year ago she took a size 14
bridesmaid's dress (the only size left!) down to a size 8 and made
it fit like it was made for me--not an easy task. Then, in the
winter of '09, she began to work on my bridal gown, which I bought
off the rack. The dress was 3 layers of Spanish silk. She caught
things and made adjustments that I needed, but would not have
known how to ask for. The result was a stunning--and
comfortable--gown that fit me perfectly. The double French bustle
was 24 ties that gave me a completely new look for the
reception--amazing! Valerie also designed and made the faux fur
shrug I wore, which was a perfect complement for the dress, and
helped me to be warm in the unexpected snow. She also made me a
small bag to carry which matched my bridesmaid's dresses. I felt
so elegant. She is a gifted tailor with years of experience (and
stories to last through your longest fitting!). I could not
recommend Valerie more highly."
